June A. Bradlaw

June Bradlaw, Ph.D. Chairperson of the Scientific Advisory
Board of the International Foundation for Ethical Research.
She is a pioneer in her field
with many significant achievements and years of exemplary
research in the field of cell culture. Following her graduation
from Connecticut College with an A.B. in Botany, June
joined the USDA’S Agriculture Research Station in
Beltsville, MD.
During her tenure at USDA, she completed her Masters
Degree in Microbiology. She then joined the FDA where
she continued her education and received her Ph.D. in
Microbiology. She has very diverse research experiences
with studies on growth control, metabolism, genetic
toxicology, in vitro toxicology, cardiac toxicology,
neurotoxicology, teratogenesis, and in vitro alternatives
to animal testing. June has served for many years on
many boards and has been actively involved in the Society
for In Vitro Biology for close to 40 years. She received
the Lifetime Achievement Award for the Society for In
Vitro Biology in 2001. |
